Uptown Pilates offers instruction in several formats: Private Sessions, Semi-Private Sessions, and Classes. Each session is taught by one of our highly skilled and thoughtful certified instructors. All sessions and classes will provide you with a total body exercise which will dramatically improve your strength, flexibility, and posture. If you have never done Pilates before, we highly encourage taking 2–3 private sessions before entering any of the group classes.

Please note that for your safety clients may not be permitted to enter group classes more than 10 minutes late per the discretion of the instructor.

In these 55 - minute classes you will reap all of the benefits of reformer work, mat work, and tower work in one. Class emphasis is on abdominal control, breath, precision, and posture. This more fundamental based class focuses on basic body awareness and the root of the exercises while getting you comfortable with the equipment to progress your practice.

As your practice progresses, these 55 - minute classes will continue taking you deeper into the Pilates system. With the equipment feeling more of an extension of yourself, this class will teach you to flow through your transitions to continue to enhance your practice.

- pull straps - short spine - long stretch series - semi circle -

In these 55 - minute classes you will really feel a connection to the Pilates system as a whole through the variety of equipment. Class emphasis is on muscle control, strength, and fluidity. Apply your knowledge of Pilates to a more challenging set of exercises while incorporating more of a flow.

In these classes you will see the following exercises:

- rowing - hamstring curls - backstroke - teaser - kneeling chest expansion

In these 45 min group classes you will UP your workout to a whole new level. A favorite of many Pilates practitioners, the reformer does exactly what it sounds like, it reforms your body. Find the symmetry, connection, and stability that your body needs to take you to new heights.

- foot work - the hundred - short spine massage - coordination - short box series - long box series

In these 55 min group classes you will UP your workout to a whole new level. Tower classes combine all the best aspects of Pilates into one class by incorporating mat work and adding the challenge of extra resistance with equipment and springs. This alternative choice to private sessions will improve your posture, tone your entire body, and slim that waist while strengthening your whole core.

Intermediate/Advanced Level Classes are reserved for clients with extensive intermediate experience. Clients MUST have experience with classes at Uptown Pilates to register.
