This was the first job I interviewed for when I moved to NYC to become a dancer. I loved the vibe of the studio and all of the people working here were really great. What is your most memorable experience at Uptown so far?
I love talking with our clients and learning how they got into Pilates. We have such a wide range of people coming into our studio and it’s always exciting to meet new clients for the first time.
What is something you can remember from your first Pilates session:
I remember being EXTREMELY sore after my first session. It was actually funny how sore I was because of the fact that I am a very active dancer. I was limping everywhere for at least two days. It just shows you how great Pilates is for the muscles that you rarely think about!.
Your favorite exercise or cue you hear from instructors:
I like being reminded to relax my knees and feet. It is a great feeling to be able to isolate the specific muscles that should be working to control your core/body.
