Bridget Gabbe was born and raised in Manhattan. A proud graduate of LaGuardia H.S. (the “FAME” school), she earned her BFA in Theatre Performance from the University of Michigan. She has appeared in multiple T.V. shows, feature films, and also on stage. While pursuing various fitness regimens to stay in shape, Bridget fell in love with Pilates. Finding Pilates became a sanctuary from the competitive world of performance, while also providing the mind body connection she craved. At the urging of her Power Pilates instructors, Bridget completed their rigorous 600-hour comprehensive certification.
After suffering a severe back injury while training, Bridget learned first-hand the restorative value of Pilates. It enhanced her understanding of and commitment to the form, ultimately enhancing her knowledge and deepening the compassion she brings to her teaching.
Bridget adheres to Joseph Pilates' classical system, but also likes to vary sessions with different apparatus equipment and variations. She is patient, always wanting to understand where her clients are starting from, and challenging them to grow each time they walk into and out of a session.
